Right now this forum exists because there's a lot of DIY RPG and OSR discussion and content on Google Plus and Google Plus is going away. It's mostly here for people to use if they need it while the transition to whatever people decide to use next happens, and--if it turns out what people want is a forum--we'll keep it.
It looks like most of the action right now is on Discord including: the OSR Discord, the DIY RPG Discord and the LotFP Discord--you can get invites to those on Google + or Twitter or ask me at zakzsmith AT hawtmayle
Discussion of anything is allowed on this forum, including controversial or difficult topics, but only if it's constructive.
Rules:
1. Behave as if you are an adult and at a table with whoever you're talking to. (Answer questions, don't just pretend they weren't asked or change the subject.)
2. No first-strike personal attacks. If you call someone names (member or otherwise) you'd better be able to prove they actually did something wrong.
3. Be helpful.
4. Act as if you are here in order to make sure someone somewhere gains some information or insight which helps them with their tabletop RPG experience.
5. Don't promote bad people.
6. Innocent until proven guilty.
7. If you have questions, ask.
8. Assume good faith until unequivocally proven otherwise.
9. If you break the rules (anywhere, ever) you get kicked--unless you apologize and do your best to fix the damage you did.
10. If you have a problem with someone, I'm likely going to ask you for evidence before taking any action, so make sure you have it.
11. If you have an issue with someone, make sure you try to resolve it privately if possible before bothering everyone else with it.
12. If you feel a question reveals personal information or that the rule is being abused: say that, and make a case for it.
13. The things you write need to be true. You can't spread misinformation on the boards.
14. If you don't like what a mod does, kick it upstairs to me zakzsmith at hawtmayle dawt calm
